This time I got there in August while the birds were still at Puntzi Lake. We pitched out tent at the lake shore and were treated to these huge birds landing in a gloroius swish at our very feet. Unfortunately technical issues with my camera compromised the quality of the phtos but I include them here as a record of a precious experience with this peaceful lake and these enormous, ungainly and beautiful birds.
